Evangelism & Apologetics

This photograph is the most liked thing that I have posted to FaceBook. It seems to resonate with many people—from being the place where a couple got engaged to a place of respite from the pain of cancer. It’s certainly one of my favourite places having spent many summers at Southgate during my school years.

I was memorising John 1:1-3 that afternoon: “[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” (NASB).

It’s certainly a great spot to meditate on John 1:3, but why is that so? What makes something beautiful—is it just in the eye of the beholder, or is there a deeper significance? The objective quality of beauty can be an apologetic argument for the existence of God and I will be exploring ideas such as this (and many other topics) in my idea blog.
